Hello all

I bought a WaveFrontier T-90 dish a couple of months ago to test.

I wanted to have the "ultimate" multi-lnb dish. Well in my opinion the T-90 dish is the best.

I have been able to use 13 lnbs on this dish. The installation was simple and adjustment was quick to do.

The most important part is having a plumb post. Then you email Wavefrontier the sats you want to get and your coordinates. They will send you the position you need to place the lnbs to.

I even been able to extend the lnb holder to add 1 more lnb. This dish is expensive, it uses regular lnbs for fta but reversed lnbs for dss.

However it is the best multi-lnb dish I have even had. If you need the small version, you can buy a t-55 and be able to get 82,91 110 and 119 with it.

If you just want 2 receivers then duplicate the setup because each LNB is a Dual LNB.

For multi-receiver setups(3 receivers and up), and legacy dual LNBs, you would use 4x4 switches.
A 4x4 switch is for TWO sats only, 2 cables each from two Dual Legacy LNBs run to one 4x4 switch.
You select between the two sats with 22khz OFF or 22khz ON.

For 4 sats/LNBs you would use two 4x4 switches then one DiSEqC 4x1 switch per receiver, one cable from each 4x4 to the DiSEqC then to one receiver.
You can run upto 8 dual Legacy LNBs this way with four 4x4 switches.

In your setup you are adding a 5th LNB, 129, you could use another 4x4 and at some point add a 6th LNB, or you could use a 3x4 switch instead, 3x4 switch is 1/2 a 4x4 switch.

82/91====4x4------LNB1 DiSEqC 4x1------------------------------------one FTA receiver
110/119==4x4------LNB2 DiSEqC
129=====3x4-------LNB3 DiSEqC

They also make 4x8 and 3x8 switches for 5 to 8 receivers

T-55 is fine for 82 to 119 in the US, except for 91 in Calif.

T-90 is better because a larger dish is always better, period.

Toroidal Dishes from Wave Frontier

Why Toroidal?

There are many other antennas available on the market that offer multi satellite capabilities for a limited arc range, designed based on a parabolic formula.

The limitation of these multi-beam parabolic antennas comes from its original formula. Only one LNBF, which is installed at the center, is at its optimal position.

In other words, the other LNBFs are not at their optimal position. Therefore, a customer may experience rain fade and weak signal strength on the channels coming off from these not-optimally located LNBFs.

On the other hand, Toroidal formula makes it possible to locate all LNBFs at their optimal position due to its dual reflector design of Toroidal antenna. Therefore, Toroidal antenna provides the same signal strength and stable signal for all LNBFs under various environments.

Toroidal 55? or Toroidal 90?

Wavefrontier currently offers two different models, T55 and T90.

Toroidal 55

1. T55 has the same effectiveness of 55 cm (20 inches) dish for each LNBF installed.
2. T55 can accommodate up to 8 LNBFs.
3. T55 can cover up to 40 degrees in arc (60 degrees in azimuth)

Toroidal 90

1. T90 has the same effectiveness of 90 cm (38 inches) dish for each LNBF installed.
2. T90 can accommodate up to 16 LNBFs.
3. T90 can cover up to 40 degrees in arc (60 degrees in azimuth)

thats a crazy set up...!is that what you have in your house?

Not sure how much of a difference it does make, as I'm still installing my T90, but a friend of mine who installed his T90 a few months back said that the holders should be installed with the screws facing back instead of forward. Said that the elevation of the lnb is lowered slightly and makes it harder to maximize the signal. Did you have any trouble getting good signals or have to do a lot of adjusting?
