I just signed up for a membership, how long does it take to activate it so I can get downloads? Thanks for your help

Welcome to your new upgrade status.

It depends on what type of payment you used. Paypal is normally the fastest, but depending on the form of payment from paypal, it can be instant or take a few days. If it is paid directly from your bank acct. and you have a back up payment with credit card, it is a one day transaction. But if it's direct from your bank acct. with no "back up" payment, paypal will wait until it clears your bank, similiar to a personal check. Paypal credit card seems to be the fastest.

CCbill takes the longest for some reason, and can be up to 5-7 days.
