Can't connect to ABADSS with IE6
Now this is really strange. During the time ABADSS was down recently for the server change I tried to connect several times to see when it was up again. Using IE6 all I got and NOW get is a white page, but the status bar says the connection is done. I cleared the cookies and temporary internet files. I did scans with Spybot and Ad-Aware. I did virus scan with AVG. I cleaned the registry with EasyCleaner and even searched the registry with regedit and removed every entry associated with abadss. Nothing has worked - all I get is a blank white page when I connect to ABADSS with internet explorer (IE6). My question is: Has anything like this happened to anybody else and if so how did you fix it?
I downloaded Firefox and am using it now (which is why I am able to make this post).

I added the site to the trusted sites in IE6 and also allowed cookies for abadss in the security settings. But, I still just get a blank white page when i try to connect.
I am using AVG (Free Edition) for anti-virus and ZoneAlarm firewall.
Here is something else that happened when I was trying to connect to ABADSS while the site was down, or at least I could not connect: I got a message saying I need to download and install Zend Optimizer. I thought that was something for servers to use. I did not install it.

ok
zend is for code on web base .. you propbably got that by hitting some code when the site was being updated .. anyway right click on your zonealarm firewall and shut it downtotally the try and hook back up to abadss if it does then you need to put abdss in the safe list there ..zone alarm is a very high firewall even if it let you in before the change in the server could have blocked it as a intrusion.. so check it out first ..

The only solution I have found so far is to download and install the Firefox browser. I can connect to abadss using it.
As to IE6, here a few of the things I have tried that did not help:
1. Download and re-install IE6
2. Turn off firewall and virus protection
3. Clean the registry
4. Search the registry with REGEDIT and remove all entries related to abadss
5. Put abadss as a "Trusted Site" in IE6 security
6. Delete cookies and temporary internet files
7. Scan the computer for ad-ware and viruses
On occasion I can get abadss to come up with IE6 but when I try to login and/or post messages I get the screen saying I need to download and install the Zend Optimizer. I can ever find a solution I will post it. Right now it is a complete mystery to me. As far as I know I can connect to every webiste in the universe with IE6 except abadss.

Here is the page I get about the Zend Optimizer:
Zend Optimizer not installed
This file was encoded by the Zend Encoder / Zend SafeGuard Suite
In order to run it, please install the freely available Zend Optimizer, version 2.1.0 or later.
What is the Zend Optimizer?
The Zend Optimizer is one of the most popular PHP plugins for performance-improvement, and has been freely available since the early days of PHP 4. It improves performance by taking PHP's intermediate code through multiple Optimization Passes, which replace inefficient code patterns with efficient code blocks. The replacement code blocks perform exactly the same operations as the original code, only faster.
In addition to performance-improvement, the Zend Optimizer also enables PHP to transparently load files encoded by the Zend Encoder or Zend SafeGuard Suite.
The Zend Optimizer is a freely-available product from Zend Technologies. Zend Technologies is the company that develops the scripting engine of PHP, also known as the Zend Engine.

I can't use IE7 on this computer. It has win2000 and IE7 requires XP. But, I don't really think that is the problem anyway since I have another older computer with win98 and can connect to abadss with IE6 on it. Right now I am experimenting with the dial-up accelerator settings and whether or not to allow pop-ups on abadss. I think the ultimate solution will just be to tweak the system to allow all the "crystal clear" ads and other stuff to pop-up undisturbed. Websites don't like to expose anything until all the ads are downloaded first

hmm, not sure, we shouldn't have any pop ups on this site. what it might be is that we have a program the re-writes the names of the urls here so instead of
abadss.com/post94.htm it will show as abadss.com/i_need_help_with_my_pansat. this makes it easier for search engines to find us. that uses zend optimzer so it may be that your virus or internet protection settings are seeing that.

I found the problem. Microsoft's Dial-up Accelerator must be turned OFF to connect to or navigate ABADSS.
