How to cancel your subscription
To cancel you reoccurring payments, do the following as found in the help text of Paypal:
- Click the My Account tab.
- Click the History subtab.
- Choose the Subscriptions field from the Show dropdown menu.
- Check the From box and change the date back 2 years.
- Click Search.
- To view the details of a specific Subscription Creation, click Details in the Details column.
- At the bottom of this page, click Cancel Subscription.
- On the confirmation page, click Cancel Subscription again
Very simple steps and you will not be charged for another month. I'm sure this site is not trying to keep your $9 and will give you a paypal refund. I believe the person that does the administrivia for the registration is the same one that owns the site and is responsible to keep it up and working and monitor it daily. I doubt they have secretaries sitting around taking care of administrivia. If you be patient, you will see that the TECHNICAL rewards of this site outweigh any wait you have incurred for your registration to be activated. So, for your sake, you may want to reconsider canceling!
I am a newbie and all I can tell you is not to expect to pick up a phone and call an 800 number and get immediate support for billing, etc. This is not a corporation, it is where people help people and some nice person has put it all together on a website for all of us to help each other. If the registrations were immediately activated, then I would start to worry and wonder where all that money was comming from to pay for that type of administrivia and programming!
BTW... I have reoccuring payments for my mortgage, my domain, my utilities, and my HOA. Reoccuring payments are a service to the CUSTOMER.
