signature?

not sure if this is the right place to post this but do you have to be a vip member to be able to add a signature to your posts?
im not a vip for financial reasons but i dont see anywhere to add a sig.
if you dont have to be vip could somebody help me out?

did you check your User CP, then go to settings and options, then into edit signature

the only things i have under settings and options are edit avatar, email&password, ignore list, and edit options (no signature options are present there),
and i do plan on keeping it "clean"
im @ the hospital on my PSP so later when i get home ill check further on my computer
