Veteran Status 9/24/08 - ABA DSS

Please inform the site of the process/requirements to reach veteran status on ABA. Also include time of complete change including color status change, and benefits/bonuses that come with this achievement. This should also be made a "sticky" to inspire others to help out and participate on the site in a regular basis.

There have been many issues with this in the past especially with the switching to the current alleged requirements. We know there are many in the community that would appreciate a clearly defined explanation/answer and course of action to remedy this situation!

c/p from ncliff back in june when changes were made. Hope this helps.

We've made a few changes to the usergroups and ranking system that I'd like to tell everyone about.

#1. Post counts required to gain stars have been changed. Approximately 2x what they used to be. example - 4 stars is 750, 5 stars is 1,500

#2. Site Helpers title changed to Veteran Member. Post count required to become veteran is 1,500 and 180+ days since you first registered.

#3. New usergroup, "Expert Site Helpers", These are the guys that have proven themselves very helpful in answering FTA related questions and trusted when posting the latest files.

#1 is all setup, #2 & #3 should be finished today/tomorrow.

It is now in the hands of ncliff and he will fix it. The 4 of you(you know who you are) please contact me or Bobo if you do not see the change in a day or 2.
Sorry this happened guys, but ncliff says the system is programmed to change it automatically but obviously isn't working. If anyone knows someone else or if you personnally are affected, please let us know.

"Here's a thought that you might want to send to the other Mods.

Posts in the Spyders Bar and Grill and Humor and the like should not be counted towards a post count.
Can't Admin turn off post counts in certain Forums?? If not Oh well. But there are a lot of members becoming Vets/Helpers
with a Huge post count in Spyder's and Humor etc.
I don't include General Chit Chat cause there is a lot of helping going on in that section.

geez.. kind of makes sense but that would put many back to "Newbie" status..
something to think about..lol..
