Custom Channel Lists UPDATE!!!! - ABA DSS

Ok, i have talked it over with the mods and this is what we decided. We will no longer be able to offer the custom channel list option. Arbor has explained why we can't do this below. For those of you that have purchased a channel list and have not recieved it you can either get you money back OR get a free month of downloads only membership starting from when you say what you want. You have a week from today to decide.

With the new echostar satilite, echo 10 at orbital location 110 west. dn is now spot beaming the local channles to your city.

spot beam= a beam from the satilite that only covers a certain area.
consus beam=a wide beam to north america.

there are still some consus beamed locals. but for the most part now all spot beamed. The only way to receive your locals via a channle list is from someone in your city. Channel lists are still great for main programming, as long as you change your diseqc settings after you load the list, then go to lyngsat.com and look to see what tp your channles are on at the time. For the less advanced FTA enthusiast it's easier to just scan yourself, this way you insure to get all the channles you can in your erea.

We have noticed that a lot of folks are having problems with these channel lists. And to be honest with you they really don't work most of the times and mess up your receives. So like I tell everyone do a scan and if you want there are programs so you can save and edit your own lists and we can help you do that. Most of the time DN and Bev change TP's and move channels around and that would make channel lists useless. Take advantage of the offer that the Admin is giving you and we are here to help.

nice moved,,people can live with the channels that they get from the scan satellites and then deleted the ones that they dont want............I tried before and always had problem......

I do agree with you ,,most of the people out there do not know how to change ever changing tps i myself am not giving mine out anymore either except where i live because i am constantly changing mine.. if you guys did that we would never see ya here .. and that would suck ..later

Does the channel list really matter? I feel as long as you can watch tv it should be good enough. Yeah it would be good to know what is 'on' but I think it doesn't really matter that much if you think about it. And one can always rename their channels as they choose or discover them.

Personally ,don't mess with channel list with VS. They don't play nice plus the channel list would need to be created within your own spotbean,the best channel list is the one you build yourself and maintain yourself .I would F1 scan your sats and edit channels to your liking. Have a good day tango
