While we are all down DN I have a few questions I am a transplanted New Yorker now living in Florida I enjoy seeing the NY News I did receive ABC, CBS and NBC from NY on DN. I contacted DN and tried to buy there service but they will NOT give me access to theses channels in Florida. Here is the Question being theses channels are not like PPV, HBO or any pay service are theses channels accessible on any True FTA satellites and if so what size dish and LNB do I need?

Re: Access to True FTA Satellites
as far as i know they are not on fta. and dn and dtv will not give you that access unless you are in a market that does not get the locals and even then you will have to apply for them and that could take 2 to 4 week before you get an answer, the only other thing i can think of is to go to LyngSat - Lyngemark Satellite and check out the channel list. there might be something there that will work for you and if so you will need a 36" dish and an invacon quad lnb. hope this helps.

Re: Access to True FTA Satellites
Thank's for the reply, I would have responded sooner but my DSL has been down. I have been to that site but there are so many choices I wanted to try to cut it down, I guess I will have to go through them All!
