Update: It seems that the key to doing this with Macs is having the the right osx, usb2, and a windows formated usb2 flash drive. NeoOffice has proven to be unnecessary (for me anyway).

I downloaded the lastest Bin files 080226. Loaded the bin on my usb key and put the kee in the Ultra the way I've done many times before. Used the menu to update from USB and the receiver went part way through the process. It hung up in the last stage before restarting. After five minutes I tried clicking every button on the remote with no effect. Finally turned the unit off with the switch at the back. Now I get nothing from the receiver. Any suggestions how to reset the unit?

I was using my usb stick installing the new codes and it turned my untra off and all I get now is ---- when I turn the ultra on. Nothing works just the four dashes. Help

I download the pgm files for my viewsat ultra. The ultra didn't restart after several minutes. I then shut it off. Now when I turn it back on, I only see 4 dashes.
How do I reset the ultra?

Today I loaded PFTAUSW-080226U and when it got to the point were it says "do not power off" it stayed there for like 10 minutes, my son walked by and turned off the box!!!! Now when I power on the Unit , there is ---- on the display and the tv has a black screen.

What can be done? Can i save it?

I read some were about loading a virgin BIN , but how?

Same thing happen to me and I had to take my box to my distributer and he reprogramed it.

johwayne good even every body hope you haveing a great day i am have with my receiver an i need help with it a few days ago i hit a button on my remote an icant get it do any thing i do a hard boot on back of receiver it shows boot on it but when says boot on front pannel then it shows a letter b on front pannel an the tv screen is black it shows no channels at the bottom of the screenan the remote will not work the receiver it will not turn it on or off idone all that i know to do to it it sonic view sv1000 canyou or some one help get up an going thinks

Ok,on Plug Your Cable Coax From Feciver And Then Turn Off Your Reciver From The Back And Unplug It And Wiat For 10 Mins.plug The Reciver Back In And Load The New Bin And Wait Until It Reboots Then Turn It Back Off And Put Your Cable Coax Back In The Reciver And The Turn On And You Should Be Up And Running

Need some more help: After do and scan as you post, I can watch all Echo sat BUT Nimiq 1,3. It just keep Autorolling.
