Did that but no LOCAL is shown in the SAT menu option...just Echo 8/10, BEV, Echostar, and ALL SATS.

If you set up your locals as I said then just hit the number key on the remote that your locals are normally on like CBS Channel 2 you would hit just the 2.

I would try an auto scan and then select the Echo Star Package then enter you local channel number. I am in Missouri.

I followed your procedure several times on my VS Ultra but the "LOCAL PACKAGE" does NOT appear as a choice in that menu. Btw, Im only pulling from Bird 8/10 and no other bird. My region is set properly and local channels are selected for. I cant even get my local channels 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, or 13 when I key in each of those numbers. Ive got the latest bin and factory files too.

Try different numbers, 2 and 3 don't come in for me but 4, 5, 7, 9, 11 do..
All numbers are not going to come in but you will get some locals.

I guess the coders live in North America , sorry.
Hope they fix this issue soon for all but they are mostly concentrating on DN and not Bev.

Not to mention, you will need to have both Echo 7 and Echo 8 installed and working.
Even though the locals are on Echo 8, the guide resides on Echo 7. So, if you do not have Echo 7, the local remapping will not work. I would simply get another dish and sight in Echo 7, it's a great satellite.
Hope this clarifies why the locals are not remapping for some of you.
And, yes, Echo 7 and Echo 8 remapping obviously would not work for Canadian users, they are U.S. birds.

Im dumb. Who are these "coders" and for whom do they work? You must mean the factory VS programmers writing factory code upgrades right?
NOT the 3rd parties writing PTSW type files?

Yes Im locked onto echo 8 and 10 and cant seem to get a lock on echo 7 with my 90cm dish and Invacom quad. During my first dish setup I got the locals from Echo 7 ONLY for my local area but cant for the life of me get any locals for my region with Echo 8 and 10. Hey, I get "locals" tho for Fresno, Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, Bakersfield, San Diego, Denver, Monterey, Boston, and Chicago--but none for Los Angeles.
