Locked RECEIVERS????
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anybody's Ultra has stopped working with the message "Locked Receiver", because a couple of mine have and the old 0000 code as well as several others not opening up to menu. If anyone knows a quick fix to these issues, I would greatly appreciate it...........Keep on keeping on all, your help over the years as been GREAT.............Thanks (past, present & future tense)

I guess anything is possible this day and age but, took them back to dealer, got re-programmed to factory, one working until selected certain channel (rated PG), asked me for parental code, 0000 and then locked up....opened up another box, same message straight out of the box........dumbfounded on this one............and as far as cloning, if they are, they are **** good ones......bought from "reputable dealer" and have done so for years............Any suggestions????

Check your factory version settings,,,you might have to upgrade .....

Try code 3570 to unlock reciever , I have the same problem and every time I have to go to Parental control and turn off lock reciever and reset codes but when I cahnge the channels it automatically goes back to locked settings, have tried to download factory bin as sugested but it evenually goes back.

Do as jc7257 suggested. If your receiver still has power you still have a chance to recover it before it is totally dead like mine: no power, no display. After you load the factory bin you should load new bin file 14/09 and rescan your channels. Good luck.
