USB to rs232 Cable question - ABA DSS

I have a ultra thats locked up and just bought a usb to rs232 cable so I can run loader2 to get it unlocked. The cable said it had drives to support XP but I can't find them. Is there anyone who has drivers for this cable. It's a HL usb-rs232 cable. I will keep searching but any info would be appreciated.

Usually XP automatically finds the drivers it needs. When you go through the install, allow XP to search the net for required drivers. Have tried to install with this option?

Yea, or go to a "downloads dot com" kind of place. You will have no probs with this issue.

Hey Buddy if you bought that cable at Radio Shack, do yourself a favour and return it. I had the same cable and so did another member and they would not work. Instead get the Nexxtech which does work and comes with a driver.

ok try this install the cable then hook to the null cable restart the computer it will serch for a driver when it say it will check the net say yes see if it finds the driver post back if this works ..

if not see if there is more info on it .. you can post

Still can't get it to pick up a driver. The cable is a hl usb-rs232. the disk that comes with it i can't find the proper driver for xp and my computer can't find the proper driver.

Here is the driver. Unplug the USB cable. Run the install. Then plug the cable in and it should pick it up. Try COM4 or COM5 first to see if you get a connection. If not you will have to try different COM ports to see which one works.
