in that post it mention that i can hook up my vs ultra that stuck n boot to a good vs ultra that work great to copy and bring my back to ife.did anyone tried it yet and is there a danger fo the viewsat ultra that work.thank you

You should check your serial port first, search Google for a Serial Port Checker, then re-run the proceedure I outlined yesterday.

Your problem was related to communication over serial lines. Solve that, and you'll then be able to solve your problem.

ok i will do that but my brother was doing the same procedure that u mention on my 2 other viewsat and it went great until we had to put the keys back in.they went right back on boot first thing the keys were in.and i bought my 3 viewsat from the same guy.i dont understand why thy go right back on boot?

Once you get the unit back to life. Load the Keys using your USB stick ... and not the loader. If you want to make electronic keys, here is what you'll need:

Get a copy of VSKey2.6

Load it on your PC
Open it
Grab Keys
Write Key/Make Key
Copy 01-06-2008_hex.key to USB stick
Upload to Receiver

Make sure Auto roll is OFF first, before uploading.

You'll be good to go.
