Autoroll? - ABA DSS

Hey Guys,

I downloader the latest file and waited and waited for the Autoroll to kick in but noth since last nite and still processin.
what to do please.

Alot of models if not all, have the option of having your autoroll on or off... make sure that it is on cause if not... you'll wait a longer time than expected!

If you have checked that.Try shutting the switch in the back off and then back on.
If nothing try reloading it again and let us know.

ok the AutoRoll is on DN, and i did a reboot from the back switch and still noth.

Try re-loading Bin file and hard reboot again. Sometimes it takes a few times for the Bin file to take.

Get a copy of VSKey2.6

Load it on your PC
Open it
Grab Keys
Write Key/Make Key
Copy 01-06-2008_hex.key to USB stick
Make sure Auto roll is OFF
Upload to your reciever
Reboot

You'll be good to go.

Man i am gonna sounnd stupid here, ok i got the keygraber open and am a bit confuse about my next step, wer do i get the Copy 01-06-2008_hex.key to USB stick.
and what am suppose with the key graber to be able to transfer the key to my USB.

I had the same problem, ---my sat. was changed some how---hit the sat key on remote and double check that you have the right sat picked. that fixed my problem.

How to Use VSKey 2.6 (Newbie Proof Instructions)

- Make a new folder. i.e.: c:\ vskey

- Extract the contents to a folder c:\ vskey

- Run the executable (VSKey2.6.exe), copy and paste a shortcut to your desktop, if you want.

- Set your time zone > menu > tools > time zone, or ctl-t, i.e.: GMT -5 EST

- Press the 'get keys' button

- Press F7 to get the DN 01 06 (extra key)

- Press get keys

- Press save

- Press F8 to get the B3V (extra keys)

- Press get keys

- Press save

- Press create opkey

- The newly created opkey.hex will be found in c :\vskey

- The *.hex will look like this... '01-06-2008_opkey.hex'

- Cut and paste it to your thumb drive (USB device)

- Upload file to your Receiver via USB or RS232

- Install it same as a *.pgm on your VSU, takes about 1 sec. to install

- Your VSU will reboot

- This process sounds more complicated than it is!

- Once VSKey is installed, the whole process - start to finish - takes less than a minute! And best of all, no more messing with the remote.

Whenever the autoroll kicked in with other fixes, all of the channels on a particular satellite were rolled. With the latest viewsat fix, every channel has to roll individually.
I thought the autoroll referred to automatically changing the keys. What else does it do?
I have autoroll on. Testing viewsat platinum with the 01/05/08p bin.
