Re: Heres A New One!!
if you change ports and it says echostar7 on all the ports then you have a voltage issue i just had one at a friends you can ground your dish out really good and that will fix it .. I had a somalar problem with a sub and a fta the sub was taking over from the fta we grounded it and put a multiswitch on to control the voltage it works like a charm now not only that the multiswitch also lets him attach 2 more reciever for 4 recievers if he wants

Re: Heres A New One!!
also remeber the switches that come with these fta boxes are 5 dollar switches .. last time i went and got one it cost me 30 bucks but i had no problems then but a multiswitch is what i suggest ..if you want you can check your ports

Re: Heres A New One!!
Just a stupid question.
Did you try switching your receivers to see if the problem followed or remain at the same place?

Re: Heres A New One!!
I have a question for you.Ok you have 2 stbs hooked up 2 1 dish 4 dik and 1 4 hev correct? And I presume you are running dik and hev? If so both of your dishs must be grounded or 1 will favor thee other. But wait if you r running 2 units 4 both providers and there both independently or link grounded with 10' deep copper 1/2" rods is one of you stbs connected to a pc? If you have an stb hooked to a pc with the above desription then you will have to install an inline load controller to equalize the units so that they dont favor one another so that they r are equal, make any sense its just electronics, sometimes this goes beyond the average joe is willing to go,I have personally battled this very same issue and knocked it dead in the methods above.

Basically, it is locked into port one only. I have the same problem. My system is grounded, but not the Dish's. So much for the Pro installation. Check the signal levels on the receivers and you might try a signal amplifier on the weaker one. That solved my problem until I get a good ground in the Spring.
