Too all New Ultra vs 2000 owners

I had major problems with my new ultra ,when loading your ultra with flash drive only put in latest epg and set atenna and away you go .I had put in old factory file which caused alot of problems ,double channels I could not factory default ,atenna settings would not stay on proper tp freq. I tried going on site and ask for help I tried all that was offered but none worked .Finally I found a post on how to clone one ultra too another ,lucky for me I have an older ultra so I cloned the new one from the older one and that is what got it going. I have 3 other older ultras and they have been trouble free the problem I had with the new ultra was of my own doing I did not do enough reading on this site before I loaded it with new files.Grasshoper has a post in ultra help section which says not to put any file older then aug of 07 in your Ultra.
These are the new version of Ultras I had mentioned that are on the way with the new Samsung tuners. Other then the tuner the hardware is pretty much all the same with some minor cosmetic changes to the exterior as you can see by the posted images. You can verify this on the viewsatusa.com website. The old models will still be in circulation till all dealers have disposed of them.

All new 3rd party software from 11-08-07 onward is compatible with the VS Ultra V2

If you do get or have this version then please Load the latest file and do not load anything prior to 11-08-07 as it can cause issues.

Please take note of the NEW Version 2 ULTRA seen below. You will notice that the power switch is positioned horizontally. There are also other noticeable changes to the rear panel. The side panel has changed as well.

I am sorry this happened bud but glad that you got it going again .. this just proves as i have always said and all us mods do ..when you get a new reciver i usually get all the manunals for it and then all the setup facts and problems how to solve and what not to do.. it is always great to read all you can on the new reciever that you have .. as your post shows read read read .. or you could have a very expensive rock.
