i experienced some freezing with my vs extreme but mostly problems with the remote functions not working or responding right, try a hard reboot now and again if you have this problem its just the fix probably.hard reboot is shuting off receiver on the front then the back for a minute or so hopefuly that helps

Try this to cure it. Turn Power OFF from the rear power switch. Unhook the LNB IN wire. Turn Power back ON for a minute. You can check your menus, be sure AutoTP is ON and Autoroll is ON. Sometimes a bin write can change these. Power OFF. Hook LNB cable back up. Power ON again.

If that doesn't fix it, Power it down again, unhook LNB IN cable again, power it up, and write the same bin file again via USB. After the unit reboots itself fully back to a channel number, power OFF and hook up the LNB cable back up to your receiver. (This will not hurt the receiver rewriting the bin file) If this lessens the freezing to say every 15 minutes to 30 minutes, you may have to do this a third time. Usually the above cures it, though.

I have had no problems with the latest bin on my Ultra. Everything is fine with 91

THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS MY GUID WAS DISAPPEARING SO I DID A REBOOT AND EVERYTHING SEEMS TO OK NOW.

I have rebooted the receiver. I seems to have fixed the freezing issue so far. I have not disconnected the coax cable yet, but will do so if the problem persists.

All this problems are related to a small glitch on the lates BIN (Seems like a 'shadow' of the fix for the first of the 4 part ECM)
Do a hard reboot when you see this problems and it will fix it up.
