Re: reciver help
I have view sat and really like it, the support is great and though the files don't always come out first they are pretty quick. I would say on average view sat is on top.

Re: reciver help
I have no experience with Sonicview. I own a Viewsat Ultra and a Pansat 3500SD. Between those two, the Ultra is a far better STB in my eyes. They both program easily with USB (Ultra) or SD Memory Card (Pansat). However, the VS is quicker when changing channels, and more polished as far as menu's and the guide go.
Good luck with your purchase.

Re: reciver help
both of those a great choices and you cant go wrong with either. I currently test sonicview and im pretty happy with it. Setup is fast and easy especially with the usb option to load bins. Good luck
