Guide not found
Hello, I'm new to this site and this is my first post so you will have to excuse my ignorance. I have read most of the threads on acquiring the guide and still have no luck. When I click on "Receive Guide" I get the message "Guide not found" message appears. Below I will list the settings I have set on my reciever.
Sat= Nimiq 1,3 91W
Channel Mapping= On
Sort By Sid= on
Auto TP= On
Auto Roll=all
Full Channel Name=On
EPG Time Length= 2 Hours
Guide Lines= 5
Reservation Notice= On
EPG TP= E12486 N12311
I have even spent several minutes on channels 2167 and 2280 to download the guide....but nothing happens. If someone could help me download the guide that would be greatly appreciated. I don't understand why I get "Guide not found" message when I click on "Receive Guide".
Thanks
Jack

Re: The guide not found
Turn full channel name off. If you don't let the channels roll and it says "no Information" you won't be able to DL guide. Leave it on 2212 or CTV any channel until "No Information " is replaced by a program title. In your EPG settings Turn on EPG download.

Re: Guide not found
Zekester,
Thanks for the info. I have now changed the "Full channel name" to "Off". As far as the Option2- Auto TP = ON & Auto Roll = All (I'm not sure what the other options are for the Auto Roll options "DN" and "BV"?
I have set the channel to 2212 and still no guide.......still showing No Information and if I try and download the guide it says Guide not found.
Cheers,
Jack

Re: Guide not found
Thanks for the information Zekester and Silver fox,
I have turned the "full channel name" to Off and have changed my guide lines to 7. I have left the satellite on channel 2212.....and still no information is displayed. Also, you said to turn on "EPG Download".....I don't see this option. The only thing I see is "standby EPG download" which I can set to a certain time. Also, EPG time length is set to 2 hours (not sure if that makes a difference). And finally, the Option2- Auto Roll is set to "ALL" is that the proper setting??? The other options are "DN","BV" and "OFF".
Cheers,
Jack
