will component cables improve the image? - ABA DSS

I know ussually upgrading from composite to component cables really improves picture quality, but given the picture quality of the viewsat ultra will I see any difference if I upgrade to component from composite cables?

it is the best way to connect to your TV. some time ago i was using S-Video and when i went to component i did see a difference. its a cheap experiment for you to test and report!

I have better image on my Ultra using componets rather than composite cables.

I have better image from my Viewsat extreme with the component cable and better audio with the Digital cable in my HD Tv

thats correct also using same cables with ultra makes picture very vivid also if you have a lcd tv.

you may see a slight difference .componant is realy for hd tv use ,if you do switch dont go and buy expensive wires .once i bought 80$ wires and they did not work any better than the cheap ones i was using on my hd tv ,i took them back ,in your case i would just use s video to improve your picture..

Thanks for the info. I have an lcd tv, I'll buy some cheap component cables to test the quality. Also the signal on my receiver is currently s:63, q: 75-80, if i move the dish to get optimal signal quality does that also affect the picture quality or is the quality the same as long as you get the channel signal.
