Lost TLC & Adult channels
Hi all
I have a viewsat ultra
Yesterday I tried to watch the fight and I scanned echostar 8,10 (110.0w) I had echostar 7 (119.0w).
What happened is that I had a lot of double listed channels I tried to erase 1 by 1 but couldn't do it.
Today I restored the machine to factory default then made a blind scan using only echostar 7 and loading the new bin pftausw-080504u but I realized that I'm missing some channels at least TLC maybe more, and all the Adult Channels.
Does anyone can help me to get back all my channels?
Thanks

Re: Lost TLC & Adult channels
Hello bud, don't use blind scan. Factory default first then antenna setting use autoscan. Scan the sat. one at a time.

Re: Lost TLC & Adult channels
If you moved your dish from one sat to another, then you need to make sure that it is aimed correctly and that you are getting the highest Quality reading, otherwise you are going to have low signal on some TPs that will prevent you to scan correctly.
Also, 119W doesnt have the same channels as 110W, thus this might be the reason why you are missing some channels.
DO NOT use Blind Scan on the Ultra. Always use the Auto Scan option.
BTW, if you replace your current LNB with a TWIN LNB, you'll be able to catch both sats at the same time

Re: Lost TLC & Adult channels
try a new sat info file and scan again, sometimes they dont all come in for some reason. the easiest thing to do is press the sat button next to the info button on your remote and select "all sats". then you can autoscan all your sats at once.

what channel you are not getting after auto scaning 110 & 119 if you still missing channel then you have to find that channel tp and add it manually. after adding tp make sure your Q sig is good. you can add or edit tp by high lighing channel scan and ok.

Re: Lost TLC & Adult channels
Ok lets break this down again.
Since you make mention of ony one sat, I am assuming that you only have 1 Dual LNB.
So lets start from the top. Do a Factory Default to clear your current settings and load the latest BIN.
If you want to catch Echo7 (119W) Then use these settings.
Satellite..............Echostar 7 (119°W)
LNB power..............ON
LNB Type...............OSC-DP (If you have DP LNB, otherwise set it to STANDARD)
LNB Freq...............11250
22KHz..................OFF
TP Freq................12239
DiESqC 1.0.............Port 1
Motor..................OFF
Legacy SW..............None
If you are getting no Quality that means your dish is not aligned correctly. You need to realign your dish until you get a good Quality reading (above 70 will be good)
Auto Scan your sat to get the channels. Dont worry about the TPs. Once you lock in the sat, the TPs will be scan with no problems.
