Problem with coaxle cable
I have a viewsat ultra and right now, whenever I attatch the coaxle cable to the back, the display on front of the viewsat goes blank. Is this an indication of a bad cable or do I have a different problem??? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Re: Problem with coaxle cable
It could be a few things including the cable, do you have a switch in line, can you disconnect the cable from the switch and retry, MAKE SURE TO TURN POWER OFF BEFORE PLAYING WITH ANY CONNECTIONS. If your not using a switch you could try disconnecting at the LNB and retry. If it's doing the same thing with just the cable, I would try another cable.

Re: Problem with coaxle cable
could be a short in the cable or connector also. if you have an ohm meter, check it for shorts.

Re: Problem with coaxle cable
first thing you do is check ALL your connections.

If you do use an ohm meter make sure that you are disconnected from the Lnb or the switch before using it.
