remote control question

i was wondering if anyone was having the same issue as me.
when i move to a different channel and push the exit button, it sends me back to the channel i was on instead of clearing the guide. is this common, just started doing this a couple of weeks ago.
i am running the viewsat ultra

Yes, there was a glitch on the 417 BIN that has transpire on to the last 3 BINs. I was hoping the coders were aware of it and that it would be fix on this last BIN.
