null cable??

i have a view sat ultra and after loading the latest file it froze with ---- on it i read in the help section how to fix and i need a null cable is it the cable that came in the box with 2 square ends on it (aka serial cable as stated in instruction manual) thanks

Yes it is and they're usually thin black ones.

thanks so much i didnt think i posted this on right iso i did another thanks so much if i follow the instructions in the frozen/locked post in this section i can us this cable

fyi ,, there are 2 types of serial cable ,, one is called a straight cable ,,its just a normal cable as it suggests,, the null modem cable is also a serial cable but its a lil different,,only in the fact that a couple of the wires inside crossover,, is important to have the right one,,, a null modem cable wont work if u need a straight cable and vice versa,,,
