vs ultra keeps rebooting

hello:
vs ultra (b3v) keeps rebooting itself, changing from "on" to "n" to "o" to "----" to off, then over again. Have tried to cable load fail fix, as well as factory 132. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

i had the exact same problem as you.....it took me about two months to finally find the cause of it.....the cause was a faulty LNB.....i replaced it and all the problems went away.....

you might wanna try a different or new LNB in its position......

also make sure all your cable ends are good quality compression weatherproof type, not the twist on type

Re: vs ultra keeps rebooting

Disconnect the lnb line in, bev is probably whats causing the reboot thing. If it takes the file after you unplug good if not load the factory file with the cable or renamed usbthumbdrive factory file and the load the latest file.

Re: vs ultra keeps rebooting

Bill of Oz...thanks, I will look into the lnb issue....

Boboisno1...I did try to load the factory file (with lnb line unhooked), I thought it might work..unit said "boot" for a few seconds, then it went back to rebooting itself. :0(

Re: vs ultra keeps rebooting

Could it be a problem with where the lnb cable plugs into the unit? (Forgive my lack of knowledge in terminology!)

LNB's go bad from time to time, I usually keep a spare around as one would keep an extra light bulb, I suppose.
First thing I do when having issues (other than reciever) is disconnect DiSq switch and run the cable directly to the LNB, and work backwards down the line until I find the culprit.

I have sort of the same issue. i loaded the fail fix pgm and stb says "no ch"
when i go into menu and select antanna setup it shows the satellite box with all weird letters and symbols (no satellites). then when you select left or right with the remote to change sat's the system reboots itself

Did you start over with a factory upgrade file?
If not give it a try, start from basics

Ok buddy. Start all over again. Do a Factory default atleast 3X. Then while your receiver is ON, unplug your receiver from the outlet for 5minutes...Then disconnect your LNB cable and reload the latest Bin File.. And Do again the factory default and turn OFF and turn ON.. After this antenna setting and auto scan....

Let us know what happen...

Re: vs ultra keeps rebooting

Hey cdo_...my rec won't stop rebooting long enough for me to access menu for a factory default...anything else I can do? Incedentally, my B3v receiver works fine, so I don't think its an LNB issue...although this is really my bf's hobby, so I'm not too 'learned' in this subject, lol....Thx in advance....

If you are starting with a new STB, you won't have any channels.
You will have to go to menu>configure antenna settings and scan channels, save channels and then see if you have T.V.

I noticed with the last fix I will wait several minutes for 'auto roll' to complete sometimes, other times it's on instantly.
Patience<--thats the real key
