Ultra's Dead...tried all options to revive

latest BIN for Viewsat Ultra 080814 ...Killed 2 of my boxes. I tried flashing with PC-STB and Master to Clone to fix. Instead it is now really dead. First I get noch then eventually FFcLL. I did a factory default, tried to set up attenna...which has "garbage" Sattelite" selection so really cant select a satelitte at all and therefore cannot do an auto scan. I get no signal or quality for an sattelite. Any ideas...how these boxes can be revived. I have done this in past which has worked fine. Not this time though.

have you tried the main.pgm file loaded via null cable .. yet ??

yes, I have loaded mainpgm thru null cable...no luck

Do you have access to a good vs ultra to clone properly, if you do post back and we can walk you through cloning from one box to another.

Sounds like u hav done ur home work on this dead unit..however some folks hav reported success with d "ULTRA FAIL FIX" posted in ULTRA help /dl section..n hav been able 2 revive d box??

If not tried - try that after a fresh dl of d file n fresh dl of d loader2 as well..then transfer dl via null modem cable - also disconnect all power sources n reconnect after short pause like 2-3 minutes -reboot ur PC before starting ur project - my approach is u have nothing to loose?

Thanks for your responses to my dilemma: Just a recap of the steps I have taken to date:

I followed the "Fail fix" instructions listed in Ultra help section. Uploaded latest MainPGM and latest Loader2. Using PC to STB to load thru a null cable. When this did not work, step 2 : I tried the Master to Clone data transfer using Null cable. PS: I have on workingUltra. The data transfer appears to work sucessfully, all the steps ...INST..done...reboot "on" , except when it should display the 0000 it displays these weird characters LLlLL. I have done this quite a few times and with no sucess. I am really stumped as I have done the PC to STB steps before and it worked. I would have thought the Master to Clone process would work foolproof....not so. I am open to all suggestions. by the way the orignal problem started when the latest fix got stuck during the install "the do not power off" zone ...which is somewhat of an issue because the unit would never do anything unless its powered off.

noch means no channels, this just needs a rescan. Try beating it to death with the factory file 131 over and over again.

I agree - there have been reports that the dl of the fail - fix "THREE TIMES" in succession has helped folks REVIVE the ULTRA from similar errors..again it can't hurt..so give it a try n hope that will do the trick?

had the samething happen to my friend,s ultra. tryed fail fix didn,t work.but the v0132 fix worked. give it a try .if you havn,t yet
