noCh Display
Hey guys,
I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong. I'm installing the main.pgm thru the null cable from the PC-->STB. I plug in the VS ultra with switch off, load the file hit the PC-->STB, flip switch on..........it does its thing, completes loading and i end up with 0000.
Then when i got to hook it up to the tv, turn it on i get no Chnl, so i go to the installation set up to put the right settings (11250s, universal LNB and 12224 freq, etc) but i cant choose my satellite because there are no arrows to scroll to a different sattelite and all it says is gibberish:
gagagagagagag, & 6.0E
What do i need to do??
Thanks,

Re: noCh Display
When your in antenna settings and have your sat your trying to hit you also need to make sure the banner at the very top matches.
If it does and your quality and signal is good then just auto scan and save.

Re: noCh Display
when you say factory bin do you mean the main.pgm. because i have been using that one. and to the other guy above, that gibberish is my banner, everytime i try to scroll left or right on the antenna the machine reboots itself and makes a load beep.

Re: noCh Display
Factory bin is the one you have when you bought the receiver.
after that you'll need load the new bin and you can get that in the download section to your receiver.

Then i suggest you do as my friend suggested.
But before you load the factory file try doing a factory default 3 times and try to do your set up again.
If that does not work load the latest factory file then the latest update and re scan.

I don't know why i was stuck on reloading the main.pgm file all the time, when it was the Viewsat_Ultra_V131 file that did the trick for me so i could locate my ********** do the settings, scan, and load the latest bin.

Re: noCh Display
In the future NoCh means no channels so if you just loaded factory files or did factory default and went to 0000 you need to do a channel scan. You can check this by trying channel up or down, it will show that you have no channels to show.
