getting a certain channel (8835)
channel 8835 comes out of florida. they show miami dolphins games. my roommate would appreciate it if i could get that channel to come in. we already get 8834, another florida, but not 8835. i've tried scanning a few different times. does anyone have any ideas for me? thanks

Re: getting a certain channel (8835)
dn has to have a contract with local tv stations to broadcast their programming and i don't think they do with that particular station because i have a cousin in miami and can't get itthrough subscription to dn and locals

Have you tried setting Florida as your local viewing area and then specific area or city where games are played?

Local channels can be set to anywhere you want, BigE in the above post says dish may not carry that station but you can go into your menu, user options and see what you can get in Fla.
You can also see who their playing and go to their local area and pick up the game that way.
