Is my box TOASTED??

I posted about a week ago because my box kept autorolling. It is hooked up correctly I know for sure. I have had my box for a year and it has worked fine. I moved about a month ago and the problems started. Everytime I get my box to work it only works for a day and then begins to autoroll again. I can't explain why this is happening. I tried doing a factory default and then loading the factory file and new bin. It worked twice and now it doesn't seem to work.

Should I have noCh showing after I do all this? When I get the "noCh" it seems to work. When the channels stay it does not work.

I just loaded main.pgm via null cable and newest Bin via USB and my box froze.

Can anyone help??? I'm stumped.

Disconnect from all power sources - pause a short while -start over - if need be DL the fail fix three times in a row..then current file fix..

there have been reports that this should revive ur dead ultra --hope that helps..look fwd 2 ur resolution..

I'm loading in the fail fix for the 3rd time in a row now. I will post with results.

I just loaded the fail fix 3 times in a row and then the 8-13 pgm and the box froze again. I did everything via null cable.

try the v0 132 bin file

tried that too. did not work. I got it to stop freezing, but still auto rolls.

I tried to load bin again and now it feeps turning on and shutting off. I have to load the fail fix again.

I think I'm going to try cloning my box off my friend's box.

What do you mean Froze? You can not use remote to go menu or whatever button? What the display in the front?

Buddy before cloning your unit. Try to unplug your receiver from the outlet for 5minutes while the switch at the back of VS ultra is ON...Then after turn OFF and plug-in to outlet then turn ON..

Then if you can use your remote, Go to MENU--->System Informatiom-->code menu. Then go to Nagra where the DN keycode is..Then Delete all the information of DN if running DN. But if running both provider, delete all information.Then exit and save/yes..exit exit exit. Turn OFF for 30sec. Then turn ON..
Next Process is... Look for a Factory bin 119 and the latest bin file. Then load the Factory Bin then the latest bin file via USB.

did u unhook the antenna prior to using fail fix or the 132 fac bin ?

It looks like a backwards 6. then a dim 8 then a 3. then a dim 8.

I tried to clone and it did not work.

I tried to unplug for 5 min as instructed above and did not work.

Still frozen. I know I can unfreeze with main.pgm, but it will still freeze again when I load bin.

Any other ideas??

Does someone have a full proof, exact sequence?

not full proof. try a old bin.then if it takes,try new bin
