I have a viewsat ultra dish 500 dual lnb's. I recently hooked up my sat and reciever. I downloaded the most recent program and it seemed to load fine(saved settings then reciever powered off and on, on it's own). I put in the anteena settings for echo 7 and 8 as listed in a previous thread.

Antenna settings
press menu- installation- pin code- Antenna setup
sattelite echostar 7 (for example)
LNB power - on
LNB type - universal (depends on dish type, try all selections to be sure you have the right one)
LNB high - 11250
LNB low - 9750
TP freq - 12224
Diseqc 1.0 - port (depends on where the cables are on the switch. use none if you only have one dish and lnb) suggested setting, echostar 7(119) port 1, echostar 8,10(110) port 2, nimic 1(91) port 3.
motor - off
legacy sw - none


Used the proper lnb type for dish pro 500. My problem lies in that I have a signal of 80 but 0 quality. I tried changing the settings on diseq, tp and lnb without getting any quality. I did a hard reboot by turning the switch off in the back. no help. Please give me a couple of ideas.

If you got no Q sounds like you need to make sure your dish is aligned properly,and if you are sure it is,then make sure 119 /tp 12239, port 1, 110 /tp12224 port 2 and d/p lnb in antenna is selected.You should see at top right corner in antenna setting what sat your pointed at.

ps are you sure you are aimed at the right sat when you go to antenna setup in the top right corner of screen it will say what sat you are aimed at

try hooking the lnb direct. run cable from lnb to stb with no switch. this eliminates the switch as a problem.
