Hello, newbie here
I recently moved, and after installing my sat in my new home I found I was missing about half the channels.
Now, I have a viewsat ultra 2000, and it seems I only get 8 and 10 sat, sat 7 works wacky.
I have a signal on many of those channels I am missing but no quality. Now, that would tell me my sat is not fine tuned, but after fiddling with the setup I can actually get most of those channels I am missing, but as soon as the quality appears it quickly dissapears.
Is it still a matter of fine tuning my dish, or is my setup screwed up?

I would say so echo7 119 is harder to lock. If your using the same dish and LNB I would lean toward tweaking 119 until you lock on good quality. Again look at the sat the missing channels are on and if its echo7, then you'll know you have to tweak.

Re: Hello, newbie here
signal and quality issues
if you are having problems with signal or quality try these steps:
* do a hard reboot with the switch on back.
* make sure you have the right sat selected in your antenna settings.
* check your antenna settings to be sure they are correct.
* check all your connections including the switch to be sure they are tight and working.
* if your quality is low or 0 you may need to align your dish.
* make sure you have the latest bin file.
especially check your switch to be sure its working right and the lnb type, sounds like that may be on the wrong setting.
