Need Help Channels have been moved

hi i need help maybe someone could help me out. i am using Viewsat Ultra Edition. Some of pakistani and indians channels have a yellow screen saying "this channel have been moved" its says to contact Dish for upgrade. these channels were located on 61.5w. ..i already have tried deleting all the channels and then rescaning it still no luck.could anyone help me please getting these channels back.thank in advance.

they were probaly moved to 118.8w which is a different sat

question:

Hi - I have the top 100 pack + HD + the Pakistan Mega Pack out in central calif.

Previously I was getting my pakistan channels from 148.

Now a new channel in the pakistan mega pak is only on 61.5 or 118.7.

They're sending out someone to repoint to 118.7 because the operator told me that is where all internations will move someday.

Are there any reasons not to point to 118.7 and just ask for 61.5 instead? We used to use 61.5 for int'ls before we started subscribing to HD.


answer:

61.5 will be part of Dish new plan called Eastern Arc. Under this new plan Dish is to launch an all MPEG4 service with 77 and possibly another Orbital slot in the third or 4 quarter of this year. This will force Dish to move ALL International channels away from 61.5.

In early March AMC14 will launch to 61.5. Once tested it will not be long until all International channels disappear from 61.5 completely, so Dish can turn on the Spotbeams on E12 to ramp up a bunch of Local into Local HD markets as well as a have alot of space for more National HD Additions.

so now all the channels are coming one 118.5? or what because my dish is point on 61.5 as u described it was for the indian, pakistan mega package. some of the channels starting to move. thanks for a response so what should i do...

dont know yet if it is true but it could be.
we dont know whats going,DN is doing changes so i cant say do it or not, dont want you getting mad with me()

are you pointed only to 61.5?
if you are pointed to 119 too you can replace the standart lnb for 119 to the one combo and you will be able to get 119/118 together.

thank you so much. Geo tv is 620 i cant remember ptv. number also Aag is gone too. so this means i have to get my dish repointed to 118.w now..

yeah but i dont knwo if you will be able to get it with a single 18"dish.
kinda small for it.a elliptical 24" will do the job for you.

Not only do you need to repoint, you will also need a different type of LNB...a low band circular LNB and a dish big enough (greater than 18"). Do a search for 118.7 and/or Anik F3 and there is whole bunch of info on this site regarding getting international channels on Anik F3.

LNB combo 119/118..you will find it close to you.

you guys are great...thanks a lot for the help. my neighbor does installment i'll check with him. and also surf the net for the dish. what kind of Dish you guys have. if you could tell me that would be a great help. and i'll be needing only one dish then for 119 and 118. for all the american, indian and pakistan channels.

GEO is on 6102. PTV 6101. I found both of them after rescan.

windstar786 what direction is your point is at. my dish is pointed at 61.5w for indian and pakistan channels. i found them on the 620geo but the thing is when you go the channel it has yellow screen displayed by DN sayin this channel has been moved contact DN for upgrades.

The channels are still there just rescan again and you will find them in the list.If needed go for the "Blind Scan" that way it scan all the Tp's.
