Are you using the right serial cable for it? It must be Null Serial Cable and also you need to unzip the loader or bin file before you use it

I don't know if the serial cable is the right one for SV1000 PVR it came with receiver in seperate box, when I test the null cable there are only three pins that have continuity.I need heip in getting my PC to communicate with SV1000 PVR.Specs on the null cable would be helpful or is there an other way to load bin by USB port and what kind of USB Loader do you use.Any help would be much appreciated thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, but I've tried the loader and it doesn't seem to communicate and I don't know how to check if the null cable is the right one without a pinout schematic.Does anyone have a svpvr1000 cable to check with which pin the other end has continuity so I can check the one that I have here.I'm working in the dark without any specs .The cable I have has only three wires soldered to the RS232 connector, and in different configuration at opposite ends{not on the same pin on the opposite cable end.]Any help will be much appreciated.Thank you all for the help so far.

are you sure your cable is a null cable?. most receivers come with a straight cable. you have to go to your local tech store to get a null cable.I wish the fta manufacturers would give both to purchasers of their boxes. The difference between a straight thru RS232 serial cable and a null modem cable is that the null modem cable makes the 2 and the 3 wires cross (the 2 pin on one end connects to the 3 pin on the other end). most of the new receivers use this null cable. so if it wont load thats probably the problem is your cable.
