sonicview 1000pvr- to get to work
Hi. My name is Dennis. I am new here. Got my sonicview1000 pvr FTA system set up a few weeks ago. The satelite guy who did part of the job, just figured out how two get the satelite up. I had to figure out how to program the receiver. He had never seen one before. Anyway they sent me the harddrive without a case, so i went out this weekend and brought the case for it. I thought all you had to do was hook it up and go to the menue to verifie its in there. But all it says is that it doesnt detech a hard drive. Now i dont use a computer with this tv. So how do i get the recorder to work. I have tried calling the sonicview tech support but no one ever seems to be there. I am not very techicnal, so if you can show me the easiest way i will be thankful. Dennis Morgan

ya in that guide is states:
c/p
Installing the Hard Drive
You can only install IDE drives, 7200RPM recommended, up to 2Tbytes size. There were no prepackaged directions on how to install one so here it is.
HDDInstallation
It is very important to set your hard drive to Master, otherwise you will run into problems with receiver recognizing drive. Go to Main Menu>PVR>Format to format hard drive.
