Signal strength as measured by your receiver is an interpretation of the EIRP (Effective Isotropic Radiated Power) received from the satellite. This measures the result of a signal uplinked to a ********** then amplified and downlinked to your dish, and across the cabling and connectors into your receiver.
Quality is the measurement of how well your lnb is picking up the amplified frequencies of the corresponding transponders on the satellite.
