Loss of several channels - ABA DSS

Hey has anyone else had this problem. We just got our system and when we 1st got it up and running had all of our channels now several broadcast channels are missing. I have put in new Key Codes. What else can I do to get the channels back?

have you tried a blind scan?as they change channels arround all the time

reset all your info again and delete the channels then do not do a blind scan unless you are running free to air.. you want to do a sat scan you will get more channels then alot of locals are being moved to spot beams if you are missing some channels then before you scan adjust your dish so you can get the strongest signal ..

I am running FTA...Do I need to do a blind scan??I had to put in new Key Codes the 2nd day of getting system.

just follow tomcat's instructions,do sat scan,i did not know what you were running & like he mentioned check your sat signal be4 you scan it

Do what is said above. Also make sure you are running the latest bin and you don't have to worry about keys.

this sounds like an antenna set up or wiring problem. if you're using more than 1 LNB make sure your port settings and frquencies are correct. if all that is ok start checking your wiring.
we just repaired a very similar problem recently, a friend was complaining that he would lose channels after a couple of days and after a week he would be down to the channels from one bird only.long story short,someone had moved the LNB from port 2 to port 3 without changing the port number in the antenna set up.

Thanx for all the help just a couple of more questions....:-P

Just found out that the person who downloaded everything in first place put the 2700 on ours and we have a 2800a should we re install the bin for the 2800a? Do you think that would repair the problem we are having? Plus we have duplicate channel listings on our EPG and I have not been able to find a way to just skip or remove the additional channels without removing all of them. Any ideas?

yes put the 2800 bin on asap. as for the extra channels use the channel edit on your remote,just look in the menu-user settings.

thats an off topic question.please start a new thread next time.
keys are for all receivers.
press the forum tab at the top of the page-in orange banner.
then scroll down to the keys sections.
load the bin and you don't even have to mess with keys.
