System freezing

I know I have come to you all with alot of questions and you have all helped. but today my system is frozen, the # on the box is 5776 and I cant get to menu or anything else. What should I do????? What happened any ideas? Dont want this to happen again would love to be able to prevent it. Any help I would love...

Not an expert by any means but have found out that receivers sometimes for no reason get a glich. Just turn of on back of box and wait 30 seconds turn back on. If keeps freezing on you someone with more know how than I will be along to help

Ok done that heck i turned it off for over an hour and still nothing tv says scrambled or bad channel, the # on box has remained 5773, when i try to put it to my shortcut to put in my dn # it does nothing....please help

Thanx just went there and checked it out...doesnt have my 2800a listed, but thanx anywhoot....

No! fta people has nothing for 2800. Do you have the cable to hook up to pc? do you have the loader or any files?

If you have the current loader V28.01, try to reflash the most current bin 02/02/07 and see if your machine will respond. let the power switch off on the back, hit transfer on the p.c. then flip the switch on.

OK I feel really stupid now. I have read the "How to" on installing the new or correct bin onto my 2800a, i did just find out for sure they installed 2700a on my system. Someone please help me put this new bin on, i just cant understand or get what i am to do, the "HOw to" doesn't have the 2800a listed and also my system already has a bin installed, do I have to take that bin off does it overwrite it what, I am really confused about this whole thing. I know computer software not this stuff. Help please I have been tring to get this fixed since this morning almost 12hours and am pulling my hair out.

be patient you are new to fta , once you learn how to do it youl be confident and able to help others do theirs in the future. putting a bin file in your receiver takes less than a minute. the old file is overwritten. if you have problems anytime just install the factory file . this will reset the receiver to when you first purchased it then load the latest bin file for your box. everything you want to know about your 2800 is in the forums.
