2800a turns off & on
need help anyone,
2800a turns off & on every minute or less. downloaded new bin
did factory reset, and loaded again. same problem

Madddog, this is what I would try, try rebooting it. Turn off at back and wait a couple and power back on. If this doesn't help, try this, do a factory default, this will wipe out your ant settings, so, write them down to put back in later. After you do the factory default, load the Pansat factory file in download section, then load latest bin, then rescan the birds, let us know how this worked, make sure you load the correct bin...

2800a turns off & on
did not work, unit turns off in antenna set-up
can't finish set-up. this is a new box, worked for 1 day
then the problem started. if this is a bad box, would i
have problem returning it with the software on it.

turn the rear switch off.
unhook the cable from dish.
it will stay on now probably.
if it does,you know you have a short somewhere in the cable/connections/switch etc.find the fault/fix and be good to go.

Unhook your antenna cable and see if it still turns on and off, if it stops then you have a connection grounding out in the cable. That means the strands of the cable are touching the center copper wire.
