80 % level and No quality ? Help 2800a

Ok here is the deal i am a newbie so please be kind , I have a Pansat 2800a with the newest bin , I used a signal finder to aim at 110 and 119 I am getting 80 % level and No quality at all no matter what I change can some one please help me I have a dish 500 with two lnbs and a DN sw21 switch Thanks

you have two single lnbs or a twin which is in one case. are they dish pro or legacy. do u have more than one reciever on this setup, if not get rid of the sw21 switch and use diseq switch(4x1). what are your antenna settings for both sats.

If you are using a sat finder, then you haven't locked on to sat, The 80% may just be your Signal, butt your Q is what will get you your picture. Do as bel71281 requested and post your sat settings, it'll greatly help.

I had the same problem up till yesterday and then accidently fixed the problem. I have a Pansat 3500SD receiver and on the back side I installed the “Satellite In” cable to the (IF) male coaxle nipple. I then used the Out to TV male coaxle out to connect the cable that goes to the TV and I finally was able to get Quality and Level readings. I hope this helps.

I am having the same problem. I have only one antena with one LNB. I used the sat finder in a LNB dual that used for DTV and bought a LNB dish pro with the same problem. The only difference for your problem, is that I am not using a switch to conect it to the reciever. I connected the cable from the LNB to the input of the reciever and the output of the reciever to the TV. I heard that the reciever has some problems with four capacitors located inside the box. I left the testing for a while, so cannot remember which capacitors I am talking about, but maybe someone reading this can help us both. I replaced those capacitors but nothing changed. I am also trying to use a satfinder to locate anything, but the highest number on level is also 80.
