pansat 2800 only works when other fta is turned on

my 2800 has to me has never worked right so i got something else sometime ago.
the pansat has been in the bedroom since

to make this a short story i found out when i turned off the box in the living room the pansat lose all its sig and quality when i turned it back on the 2800 came back on,like there is no voltage from the pansat to the lnb.

can the 2800 have Capacitor problems like the 2700?

it does sound like it is not powering the lnb and yes it could be a problem like the 2700 if you have a meter and the time you can do some testing on your unit to find out where the power is being lost but would not try if you dont know your way around a circuit board. just keep your other unit on

how do you have the pansat hooked up as far as switches etc...

Sly is right . You need to put a tester on it and find that out first before we try to figure it out from other problems
