Jtag Pansat 2800a
C/P
Thats right, the new 2800. Though no one has had to jtag one of these recievers to date, we want the public to rest assured that we will have the files and support if need be.
Here are some pictures of the 2800 board. The 20pin jtag header is clearly visible in these pictures, and the same jtag cable used for other Pansats can be used here.
I have jtagged my 2800, just to backup the flash, but have lost the file somewhere on my computer. I will jtag my 2800 again to post the file here in the near future.
.................................................. .................................................. .............................................
Okay, here they are. There have been a few requests so I dumped my 2800 flash.
I also included a full memory dump.
You will find the files in two folders: The one is the extracted files from the receiver while flashed with the latest bin (at this date, its the 416, June 2007).
The second folder contains the extracted files after a factory default and reload of the factory bin.
6 million ways to die, choose one....

Open Jkeys and it should auto-detect it as a 3500 in the IRD box,
but you DON'T have to change it.
Then Click on Flash Programming.
A box will pop up saying power down reciever then wait 3-4 seconds power back up then hit ok, well DON'T power down reciever just hit ok.
Then in the Chip/Sector Programming, Click on Erase, and erase whole flash.( 3 - 4 times)
Then Click on Program, and select the 2800 bin.
Wait for flash to complete. Then Close all programs remove Jtag and reboot your receiver.
You will see lights or b-80 on the front panel.
Load current bin via null modem cable.
