Hi,
I just received my 2500a and tried using the echo 7/ku. I am using a old dave single lnb dish and verified I was pointing at 119 via old dave receiver. I had 94% strength. When I go into the menu for echo7 - and I choose any of the transducer - I can't seem to find a signal greater than 29%. I'm about to pull out all my hair! My zip is 60103. Can someone please help.

What you want is the "Quality" to be as high as possible. goodluck

Sorry - should have been more specific. I'm only receiving 29% signal level. I have 0% quality. I'll try repositioning again but I have a feeling that my next door neighbors house might be blocking the signal. Dave had installed the dish on the side of the house which worked great for previous purpose. Thanks for all the information.

I'll look and see if i am using a RG6 cable.

I have the LNBF connected directly to my receiver. If I can receive a signal via dave's receiver, is it possible to not receive a signal from the Pansat receiver if I am not using the RG6 cable? I had the system installed by dave 2 years so I guess it is possible that it is not the RG6 cable.

If it is the cable, I'm dreading the thought of replacing it since it is mounted on the side of the house and I just had new vinyl siding installed so the cable is underneath the siding.

Are you connected to the right port on the pansat? It should be connected to the IF port.
