hi!! i'm kind of new to this but i just realize that my location can only hit the
echo 3 61.5w instead of the 110 or 119. can somebody provide some info on the setup steps to catch this bird...really appreciate the help and god bless..
sorry for lack of info on my previous post but the reason i cant get the 110 or the 119 is coz of my patio balcony location on my place.. its an apartment complex and the only clear view from my patio is from 20 t0 98 degree towards north east sky. my zipcode is 93590
first I apologize for being a total newbie on this thing.. I follow the directtion for pointing the dish to Sat Name (sat lng) Az(m) El
EchoStar 3 ( 61.5 W) 96.3 18.6 I'm pretty sure i'm close to it or dead center. verify it 3 times but i can't get quality on it signal is 70 percent but 0 QUALITY i suspect my LNB is wrong! i'm currently using D*V BSS 12.2-12.7 GHz with single LNB but it has 2 connection for 2 receiver. My question is would this work? if not what do i need.
it turns out that my setting was to way off by 9 degress. by using sat finder that i purchase at Ebay I was able to compensate.. thanks again for the valuable INFO from FTA... i was not sure if the LNB was good or bad but now i know it works..again thanks...
