Newbie Help, no signal sometimes

Why do sometimes a channel will say bad signal and othertimes the channel comes in? I will check the attena set up and it will have no quaility and later i will check and get about 90%.

I'm using a dishnetwork sat and the splitter that came with it.

Any idea what I did wrong

I hope you using a switch not a splitter, it is very important to have a stong signal, let us know your location and what birds you are pointing at.

check all of your connections at the lnb receiver etc.

It might be a splitter, it came with the original Dish Network satalite equipment. Where can I get a switch and what kind.
