? Future 2700 Bin Files And Others
I Was Wondering Why On My 2500a And My Viewstat Extreme Why We Didn't Have To Go Through All The Headaches Of Rebooting And Programing Those Boxes.(it's A Pain And I Got Two Down Right Now That I'm Trying To Figure Out Their Hung Up On Th B-7-5 Going Back And Forth And It Wont Accept And Downloads It Keeps Flash Failing ). How Come The 2700a Can't Be Programed Like We Have Been Doing. Is Their Gonig To Be A New File In The Days Or Weeks To Come That We Will Be Able To Program Them Like We Have Been In The Past, Or Are Those Days Dead And This Is The New Age Of The Pansat 2700's? I Can't Figure Why My 2500 Box Which Smaller And Basic Didn't Have To Go Through All Of This To Get Tv, It's Working Fine And I Used The Same Old Basic Loader. Same With My Viewstat.

ok first off,a new boot version is created to help the stb run more stable with less glitches,so thats a big plus.
and once the new boot has been loaded, thats it.your done.it only takes that one time.
from then on,all you do is load bins same as always.(the newer bins are made for that boot version)

Since the last blackout and the new map dn star to use, boxes like the 2500 and 2700 went slower handling it with only 2mb. So in order to improve the best way they could coders modify the bin and try to give a little more speed to those stb and improve the scan speed, autoroll and epg. Since they only had only 2 mb to work they erase some fuctions to save a little bit of space and improve the bins so these stb wont be more slower and extend their usefull life. I use 2700 and are very happy with it is a real good stb and for beginners is very friendly. But in the mean time lets enjoy tv and hoping this answer your question , if any help need it we will be glad to do it

Gypsy... See if this attached link helps. You MUST use the new loader (v.27.02) not the old one or the BL one, and you must also load factory bin. I too got freaked out with the scrolling lights. Also check out the link from Arboristman. You can also find the instructions in the 2700a-Discussions link in the "stickies" section (on the top of the posts). Make sure the autoroll in on and then do sat scans again once your system comes back on. You'll still see the "waiting for picture" signal for a few moments. Just wait a while so it can search for the new keys. It worked for me!!! As a rule of thumb, I always do a backup of my channel list in Channel Master, BEFORE DOING ANY KIND OF NEW BIN/UPGRADE. That way if something goes wrong, I wont mess up by custom channel list.
