Pansat 2700A and 3500SD Memo:
Dear Members:
BlackList has contacted us this afternoon (June 6, 2007) regarding the freezing issues some that are experiencing on Pansat 2700A receivers and Pansat 3500SD receivers.
His engineers were able to determine the cause of these intermittent, but annoying problems, to be corrupted software that was loaded after market.
It is therefore strongly recommended that members experiencing freezing issues, perform a factory default, load the appropriate factory flash, load the current BL bin, and perform a Satellite Scan as normal. (Bypassing the DiSEqC Switch is recommended during the Satellite Scan).
The engineering group also found a flaw with some shared Channel Lists.
It is further recommended that they not be loaded until you are satisfied, after a few days of testing, that your reprogram protocol has successfully corrected the freezing issue. (If you then load a channel list, and start to experience freezing, then you know you have a corrupted channel list).
We are pleased, as always, to have the interaction and feedback from the manufacturer.
Should you require direction in the proper reprogramming technique/procedure to follow, please refer to the receiver download and discussion areas of our forum.
Warmest regards,
CP
