2500a do i need keys, channel scrambled

I'm trying to get my 2500a working. I have a signal on echo 8 and nimq 1 but after i scan the channels in and do myh parent contol 0000 thing i go to watch tv and it says scrambled or bad channel? I have the latest bin and i just now read something about changing the keys but when i go to the key change setup it locks up and besides that i don't know what key to put in. Anyone know what causes the scrambled or bad message. I've racked my head over this thing and so far it's been more frustrationg than any tv show is worth. thanks in advance. I have Dtv dish with triple feed lnb.

This may not help you, the pansat 2500 is not going to be supported by blacklist any more. The bins are to large for the memory in this older STB...Sorry

when u say not supported anymore, I just uploaded the bin so I guess the bin x-85 i think is still working as of now? correct? I got the correct keys in but it says wait for picture and goes up then stops. I hit a button which was default key I think which has caused it to say wait for picture. I guess i'll just scrape this thing and maybe buy a more up to date box but i'd atleast like to get it working just for the hell of it. I updated the keys and all but still no work. I might restore to factory, upload bin again and try one more time

for you with 2500-you don't want to set default key.
turn auto roll OFF.
then enter the keys.
press OK to store them.

The default key erases all your settings. You might get the keys to enter, but, like I said, Pansat is no longer supporting this STB. The memory is to small for the size of the bin files...

I've got it working on nemq1 now, I almost gave up when u said the 2500a wouldn't work anymore. It's working for now. i had to put the keys in for bev is the only way i could get it to work and mabe only on nemq so i still have some work to do.

If no more bins from BL for 2500a's, Should we dump them???
