I have Pansat 250sm,and the close caption function is not working even the close caption is turned on,is it some thing wrong with the new code to cause it not tofunction?

nope nothing you can do.
it does not work yet.
only the coders can fix this.
nothing your doing wrong on your end.

check the remote and battery. turn close caption off and on.Try this turn the box off from the rear switch, leave it off for a few minutes turn it back on this will cure 90% of all problems. Read your manual .If you think it's the bin live with it.

I just bought it,and set it up I have been trying every ways ,but it's still not working,i think there is some thing wrong with the code,and further more beside that whenever I delete the channel and I have double or triple channels added the list such as deleting the channel CNN and I will have a nother channel HBOW or other channel added to the list,and also the P-lock is not working if I locked this channel and it will lock the other channel.

thats another major bug.
you can not edit channels or locks-favs etc all get messed up.

i only use this thing for testing,after that its back to the bottom self again.
very buggy!

ok,you don't seem to understand.

1.this unit just came out.
2.this unit still has many bugs because they just started working on it.
because the 9000 HD model came out first.and they didn't have much time to work on the 250sm before it came out.
3.so like all new units,there are many bugs that need to be worked out.
4.NOTHING at all you can do.510 is better than 514 but only slightly.
5.there is NO clean/bug free bin for this receiver yet.

i updated my review so people know this before they buy one.
(i didn't think it would take so long for them to clean it up.)
