I don't know if this is a corrected visual judgement, but it's a good way to start. I have one working pan2500a that has 22 vent holes on each of the receiver's side.

I now have 2 working combos and they are completely different from each other. I really think it's just a crap shoot folks aside from people not loading the bin correctly.

22 holes on side
no heat sink on processor
sticker on back with UL and Serial
tsop = 70
No square indents on bottom

20 holes on side
heat sink
printed UL label NOT sticker
tsop = 70
No square indents on bottom

Both 2500a - first going on 27 hours straight, second 18 hours

I also have 2 setups. one with 22holes and one with 20holes. both are working as of now. When people say dead, what do you mean by "dead". Is your pansat useless now??? or can you just re-bin it.
