I have my 2500 up and running with a motorized dish. I also have a dish 500 dish that works and is set up using a dish issued reciever. If i was to unhook my 2500 and hook it up to 500 dish that is already pointed and working. What settings would i have to change and to what. buffalo,ny
You need to know what satillite it is pointing to and then (if you do not have it yet) just do a scan onto your reciever. And for more info you can always look at you guide book that came with your box.

First you would have to replace the sw21 switch that dish uses, no good fta. Connect the lnb to the pansat switch, Is both setups dish pro or legacy lnbs ? You might have to use two different channel list. Their are quite a few possibilities that could happen, need to know allot more about both setups.
